What a Webflow agency costs

Webflow studios that publish prices start projects at $5,000 (Halo Lab) and run to $250,000 (Flowtrix), with retainers from $1,800 a month (BX Studio). Webflow bills separately: a Premium site plan is $25 a month billed yearly, plus $15 a month for each limited editing seat. A directory figure is a declaration, not a price.

Key takeaways

  • A Webflow site has two bills: the studio's fee for building it, and Webflow's own plans for hosting and editing it, which continue after launch.

  • Published Webflow studio pricing runs from $5,000 a project (Halo Lab) to $250,000 (Flowtrix), and the ends of that range are different products.

  • Webflow merged its CMS and Business plans into one Premium plan in May 2026, at $25 a month billed yearly or $39 monthly.

  • Editing seats are billed separately: $15 a month for a limited seat and $39 for a full seat, billed yearly.

  • Monthly retainers and subscriptions start at $1,800 (BX Studio, 10 hours) and usually carry a commitment of six to twelve months.

  • The "Starting at" figure on Webflow's partner directory is entered by the studio, so treat it as a declaration rather than a quote.

You have decided the site is going on Webflow and you are about to ask studios for quotes. The numbers that come back will be hard to compare. One studio sends a project fee, another a monthly subscription, a third an hourly pack, and none of them includes what Webflow itself will charge you every year after launch.

Getting this wrong rarely means overpaying for the build. It means budgeting for the build and forgetting the rest: the site plan, the seats your team needs to edit it, translation, and the retainer that turns out to be the only way to get changes made. This page sets out what Webflow studios publish on their own sites, what Webflow charges on top, and how to read a directory figure. It does not rank studios; our rankings do that.

Two bills: the studio's fee and Webflow's plans

A Webflow site is paid for twice. The studio charges for designing and building it. Webflow charges for hosting and running it, per site, and that bill keeps arriving after the studio has gone.

Webflow changed its plans in May 2026, merging its CMS and Business plans into one Premium plan. On its pricing page today, in US dollars per site:

  • Basic is $15 a month billed yearly, or $25 billed monthly, for a site without a CMS.
  • Premium is $25 a month billed yearly, or $39 monthly, and includes the CMS with 20,000 items and 50 GB of bandwidth. More bandwidth starts at $20 a month extra.
  • Ecommerce plans run from $29 a month billed yearly for 500 products to $212 for 15,000.
  • Team is $2,500 a month on an annual contract, and Enterprise is quoted.

People are billed separately. A limited seat, for someone who edits content or builds pages from components, is $15 a month billed yearly, and a full seat is $39. Translation is an add-on too: Localize starts at $9 per locale per month billed yearly, or $29 for the advanced tier.

As arithmetic on those list prices: a Premium site with two in-house editors on limited seats comes to $300 a year for the site plan and $360 for the seats, before translation, add-ons or tax. That is small next to a studio fee, but it is yours to pay for as long as the site is live, so ask who holds it. If the studio works from a Webflow Agency workspace, client payments let it hand the site plan's billing to you directly, and Agency workspaces include three free client seats per site.

What Webflow studios publish

More than you might expect, though rarely in the same shape twice. Of the Webflow studios we track, eighteen state a figure on their own site. Read together, they bracket the market.

At the entry point, Halo Lab's pricing page says it takes on projects from $5,000. Builds from finished designs come cheaper still: BX Studio prices Figma-to-Webflow work at $3,500 to $50,000 and up, and Creative Corner Studio starts those builds at $5,000 and full Webflow projects at $12,000.

The clearest ladder is by site size. Broworks starts small sites at $10,000, mid-sized ones at $15,000 and large ones at $20,000. Lil Big Things prices by page count: $27,000 for up to five pages, $38,000 for ten and $60,000 for twenty.

Further up, SVZ says website projects start at $35,000, Refokus says projects usually start around $40,000 and most land between $50,000 and $80,000, and Huemor states that most of its projects run $50,000 to $100,000. Flow Ninja sets a $25,000 minimum for Webflow development and $50,000 for its larger transformation projects. At the top, Flowtrix prices enterprise sites at $75,000 to $250,000, and calls its figures starting points rather than quotes.

So published project pricing runs from $5,000 (Halo Lab) to $250,000 (Flowtrix), with Refokus saying its projects can go beyond that. The ends are different products. At the bottom you are buying a build against your own designs and copy. At the top you are buying strategy, design, content and a large migration.

Several studios publish contact-form bands instead of a price: Khod starts at $12,000, N4 at $10,000 to $25,000, and Off+brand at £20,000 to £30,000. A band is a quieter way of telling you the floor.

Subscriptions, retainers and hours

Many Webflow studios sell time by the month rather than a project, because a marketing site keeps changing after launch. The published figures:

  • Amply's retainers start at $3,000 a month for Webflow development, $4,500 with design and $10,000 for a dedicated team, on a one-year contract with a 60-day trial.
  • BX Studio's maintenance packs run $1,800 a month for 10 hours, $4,250 for 25 and $7,500 for 50, each with a two-quarter commitment.
  • Flowout's subscriptions start at $5,900 a month for Webflow development, or $4,700 a month billed yearly.
  • Lil Big Things starts retainers at $2,500 a month, Broworks at $3,000 and Flow Ninja at $6,000 on a 12-month commitment.

Hourly packs suit small, bounded fixes. Finsweet sells five hours of technical problem solving for $1,500, and Creative Corner Studio's rate falls from $120 an hour for 20 hours to $70 for 120 or more.

The thing to check is the commitment, not the monthly figure. A $3,000 retainer on a one-year contract is a $36,000 purchase.

A directory budget is a declaration

Webflow's certified partner directory shows a "Starting at" figure on each partner's profile, and lets you filter by budget. It is the fastest number to find and the one to weigh least. Partners enter it themselves as a minimum project price, so it is a filter setting rather than a quote.

It is still useful when the studio's own site says nothing, as long as you label it. Edgar Allan's profile shows "Starting at $30,000 USD" and Kvalifik's "Starting at $7,000 USD", and quoting either should say the figure came from Webflow's directory. Where a studio states both, they can differ: Perpetual's own FAQ gives a $25,000 minimum while its directory profile showed $10,000 when we checked on 16 October 2026. Believe the studio's own site.

What moves a Webflow quote

Most of what moves any website quote applies here, and what a web design agency costs sets it out: templates, copy, the state of the brand, seniority. Four things are specific to Webflow.

Content structure. A site whose blog, case studies and resources live in well-planned CMS collections takes longer to build than one made of static pages, and is far cheaper to run afterwards.

Migration. Moving content from another platform into Webflow collections, with every old address redirected, is often the largest line on a quote. Our WordPress to Webflow guide covers what it involves.

Languages. Each locale adds a Localize charge from Webflow and translation and layout work from the studio.

Things Webflow does not do natively. Member logins, complex search or integrations with a CRM mean third-party tools or custom code, each with its own build cost and monthly bill. Ask for that list with the quote.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Webflow website cost to build?

Among Webflow studios that publish prices on their own sites, projects start at $5,000 (Halo Lab) and run to $250,000 for enterprise sites (Flowtrix). In between, Broworks starts small sites at $10,000, Lil Big Things charges $27,000 for up to five pages, and Refokus says most of its projects land between $50,000 and $80,000. A build from designs you already have costs less: BX Studio starts Figma-to-Webflow work at $3,500.

How much does Webflow hosting cost on top of the agency fee?

Webflow charges per site. Since May 2026 the Basic plan, for a site without a CMS, is $15 a month billed yearly or $25 monthly, and the Premium plan, which includes the CMS, is $25 a month billed yearly or $39 monthly. Ecommerce plans start at $29 a month billed yearly. Seats for people who edit the site are extra, from $15 a month each, and translation is billed per locale.

Who should pay for the Webflow site plan, us or the agency?

You should, in your company's name, so the site does not depend on the agency's account. Webflow lets studios on Freelancer and Agency workspaces hand billing for a site plan to the client through its client payments feature, and transfer a site with its plan and custom domain into the client's own workspace. Settle which route you are taking in the contract, before launch.

Is a Webflow retainer worth it?

It is when the site changes every week and your team cannot or will not make the changes itself. Published retainers start at $1,800 a month for ten hours (BX Studio) and $3,000 a month for Webflow development (Amply), and most come with a commitment of six months to a year. Compare the commitment rather than the monthly figure, and set an end point before you start.

What does the starting budget on Webflow's partner directory mean?

It is the minimum project price the studio entered on its own directory profile, shown as a "Starting at" figure. Webflow uses it to let buyers filter by budget, which makes it a filter setting rather than a quote. Where a studio also states a figure on its own site, the two can differ, and the studio's own site is the one to plan against.

Why are Webflow agency quotes so different from each other?

Because they price different work. A low quote usually assumes you bring finished designs, written copy and a settled brand, and that the site is a handful of static pages. A high one includes strategy, design, copywriting, a planned CMS structure and a migration with redirects. Ask every studio how many templates and CMS collections the quote assumes, whether copy and migration are included, and what Webflow plan and seats the site will need.
